Gungahlin has been one of Canberra's fastest-growing districts for years. Most of it has been built since the 1990s, and suburbs like Franklin, Harrison, Bonner, Throsby and Taylor are newer again. The light rail now runs from Gungahlin Place down Flemington Road and Northbourne Avenue into the city.
